EGYPT MAUL THE LIONS
The 'Indomitable Lions' of Cameroon suffered a mauling at the hands of reigning champions Egypt in their opening Group C African Cup of Nations match at the Baba Yara Stadium, Ghana. Two goals from Hosni Abd Rabo and two from Mohamed Zidan allowed The 'Pharaohs' to dominate proceedings and allay fears of a late comeback from the West African side, who did restore some pride to the scoreline with a double from Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o in the second half. Cameroon now face Zambia in their next group C fixture, with Egypt - who top the group with a three-point lead - facing Sudan on Saturday the 26th of January.
