Spurs down Arsenal to enter final

Tottenham ended a nine-year run without a win against Arsenal on Tuesday to reach the English League Cup final with a 5-1 victory.Jermaine Jenas, Nicklas Bendtner's own-goal, Robbie Keane and Aaron Lennon put Spurs 4-0 ahead before Emmanuel Adebayor replied for Arsenal.Steed Malbranque then added a goal in injury time to give Spurs a 6-2 aggregate victory.The end of Arsenal's record 21-match unbeaten run against their north London rivals means three-time League Cup winner Tottenham will play either holders Chelsea or Everton in the February 24 final at Wembley.

Jankovic through to last 8

Jelena Jankovic capped off her best ever showing at the Australian Open reaching the quarter finals of the tournament. The Serbian was pressed in the opening set against local favourite Casey Dellacqua, but won it in the tie break. The 3rd seed then dominated the match winning 7-6, 6-1.
